Our Story
A family run car dealer and repair workshop since 1972.
In 1972, John Gault opened the garage as Hilton Motors. He started a workshop for servicing and repairing the cars of Southampton, with his wife Mary working on the business side.

Between 1980 and 1985 the workshop was developed to incorporate a dedicated MOT testing bay and additional ramps. By 1985 their son Andrew Gault joined the business and expanded it to offer used car sales.
In 1995, we opened the forecourt to increase our used car selection.

John, Mary and Andrew all remain at the garage along with our two much respected and highly skilled technicians. In 2022 we are celebrating our 50th anniversary and are looking forward to many more years of providing honest, reliable and quality service to our valued customers of Southampton and beyond.
